In its quest for
new and exciting places to go over Memorial Day Weekend , New Horizon
Tours has chosen San Andres, part of an archipelago (includes
Providencia and Santa Catalina) located 140 miles east of Nicaragua that
was discovered by Spaniards in 1510 and often visited by English & Dutch
sailors that left their cultural legacy. Your first glimpse of San
Andres from the plane will reveal a variety of Shades of Blue in which
the sea is clothed and which the inhabitants affectionately call “THE
SEA OF SEVEN COLORS.” The white coral sand which borders part of the
island provides the color contrast.
The archipelago
extends various invitations to its visitors: rest and relaxation,
snorkeling and scuba diving, other water sports, shopping, discovering
its flora and fauna, swimming and sunbathing and a typical Caribbean
night life that you will find only minutes from our hotel.
San Andres
doesn’t have any huge, sophisticated cookie-cutter hotel complexes, so
common in other parts of the Caribbean, but it is so full of life and
natural charm that you won’t miss them at all. San Andres has an
old-time Caribbean flavor that is difficult to find any more. A mixture
of English and Latin cultures..... A mixture that’s both exotic and
seductive.
Our lodging,
the All-Inclusive Super Decameron Marazul, a first class resort, only 10
min from the airport is hidden between the ocean and the jungle in the
area of Orange Hill. It has a fun private beach surrounded by gardens,
bars, sports areas and all the essential luxuries. Since there are 4
more Decameron resorts on Sand Andres, you can enjoy all of them with no
extra charge.
